Cut Flower Short Course @ 2023 Kentucky Fruit & Vegetable Conference
KHC and partners at UK Cooperative Extension and the UK Center for Crop Diversification hosted a day-long cut flower short course in January 2023 at the Kentucky Fruit and Vegetable Conference. July Kentucky Cut Flower Promotion Month
Each July we celebrate Kentucky Grown Cut Flower Month to highlight the abundance of locally-grown cut flowers and farmers who grow them. KHC and local UK CES offices work with farmers to support commercial production of locally-grown cut flowers. Each day in July KHC featured growers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter! Starting with the 2022 Cut Flower Month, promotion on Facebook is now done on a new, consolidated Facebook Group for all things KY Cut Flower!
Each year the promotion features grower profiles, flower facts, cut flower tips & tricks, production & marketing resources, and starting in 2022, floral design videos using only flowers from KY cut flower farms.
