SUMMARY:Virtual Cooking Ambassador Program
DESCRIPTION:Seeking enthusiastic cooks who are passionate about local food and helping their community! \nThe Food Connection\, with the support of Community Farm Alliance\, is offering a virtual training for community members interested in becoming virtual cooking ambassadors for their local food community. Our programing emphasizes locally sourced\, healthful\, and budget-friendly dishes that will help people build their culinary confidence. \nLead by Chef Tanya Whitehouse\, this two-part virtual training covers everything you need to know to deliver a virtual cooking demonstration or cooking class. The first session focuses on the basic technical features of delivering online learning and the second covers the foundations of delivering successful cooking demonstrations. \nThe classes will be held live on Tuesday\, October 27\, 2020 at 12:00 pm and Tuesday\, November 3\, 2020 at 12:00 pm.  Those who complete the course will have access to ongoing support and resources (recipes\, videos\, tips and tricks) as they develop and deliver their own demonstrations in their communities. \nThe virtual cooking ambassador program is perfect for anyone who is comfortable in a kitchen and who would like to help others learn to prepare and enjoy healthy\, local meals that work with any budget. It may be of particular interest to cooperative extension or public health professionals\, or anyone working with farmers or Fresh Stop markets\, and who would like to learn more about community cooking demonstrations. \nParticipation does require a device with both video and audio capability and access to the internet. Meetings will take place over Zoom. \nTo register for one or both of the classes\, click this link: https://forms.gle/kjg8U2PZ3nx4S3Zu7. If you have any questions\, feel free to email Chef Tanya Whitehouse at tanya.whitehouse@uky.edu

SUMMARY:KCARD: Growing Your Farm and Food Business
